The legal world is changing. Digitization and computerization play a major role. The client no longer expects a traditional law firm. Baumgardt, Brökling & Van Der Rijt Advocaten is aware of this. Together with Campagne they are meeting the demands of the future. This repositioning also requires a new name: tradition-free, client-focused and independent. After an internal and external exercise the name was decided: Yur Advocaten & Consultants. Yur stands for smart, clear advice. Pragmatic. Different. No more rigid patterns. Not just as lawyers, but also as sparring partners and consultants. With personal attention to the client. To achieve this repositioning, a new way of working was introduced and a modern office in Rotterdam was opened.
Not by talking about it, but by doing it. So the name was jettisoned after 25 years and Yur Advocaten & Consultants was the firm choice. As a result, Yur cleared the way for all the logical choices that followed.
The transformation was communicated step by step. Both internally and externally. Employees were involved in the development of the new name and had a hand in the decision. This ensured broad internal support. We drew up a transformation and communication plan, a high point of which was the festive opening and launch on 2 February 2017. A new website was created: a platform for knowledge sharing, online service and personal branding. The content strategy for the website and social media is in development. To establish a position in Rotterdam, a marketing strategy is being created for the region.
